My Sewing Debut
One of my goals for 2007 was to learn to use a sewing machine. My mother-in-law had an old hand-me-down machine that's older than DaHubby that she gave me once I had a lesson in how to use it. Then, during the organizational challenge last month, I came across a bag filled with fleece rectangles I had cut up for a different project that I never completed. So, I took the "squares" and made Flicka this:

LOL Sara, it's all straight lines! A good "first-timer" project, eh?
There were 6 rows in the blanket before I folded over so I'd do a row or two during those magical "tandem nap" times.
All told it probably took less than 3 hours but I was doing it 20-40 minutes at a time along with repeatedly threading and re-threading needles and bobbins! LOL
LOOK AT THAT! I am so very impressed and totally and competely jealous! Great job, Beth!
