We'll be heading out in about 2 hours to go see this year's version of these folks.
A related funny story? Seven years ago this weekend, DaHubby and I were married near the bluff of Lake Michigan. Being new to the area, I had NO idea that the first weekend in May was Blossomtime.
So, it was raining that Saturday morning which could have put a damper on our outdoor ceremony. It literally stopped 30 minutes before the ceremony as DaHubby and several others wiped off the guests' chairs.
Then, in the middle of our vows, traffic suddenly increased on the road passing within a couple hundred feet of our ceremony. The parade had let out and we "suddenly" lost all the audio on our wedding video as every single car honked at us in congratulations! LOL
Another funny fact? For the first time since 2001, it's actually NOT raining for th parade today! LOL
