WFMW: Bare Cupboards Dinner Resources

I haven't done a Works For Me Wednesday in a while. And, it would figure that I would be reminded to do it the week Shannon is not even in the country! LOL But, Chili is pickin' up her slack *wink*.

The following two sites have been a real Godsend the last year or so as I've tried to restrict the number of our impulse run-to-the-store-for-a-few-things trips and our eating out.

Taste of Home's advanced recipe search allows you to pick and choose from a list of criteria (number of ingredients, amount of prep time you have, low fat, low sodium, etc.) and find a recipe just suited to your needs in a panic at 4pm when your hubby is due home in an hour and you didn't get a chance to stop at the store today (and when does THAT every happen? *eyes rolling*).

And, Cooking By Numbers can also help you find a recipe with very little in your cabinets. Check what you have and hit "find recipes" and it'll spit out several recipes you can make with what you have on hand!

Stop by Chili's today and see what 200+ great ideas the other bloggers have this week!

Thanks for the Taste of Home link. I think I'll use it!

I haven't checked out TOH's advanced recipe search in a while, and I'm always on the lookout for 'what to do' with what I have on hand. Thanks for the reminder! Allrecipes.com also has a nice 'search by ingredient' feature.
