Boil Water Order

Just find this interesting...in a small community like mine where we have no local news broadcast and 3-4 local radio stations and receive the rest of our news from South Bend and Chicago, how exactly was I suppose to learn about the fact that three townships, two villages, and one city in Berrien County are on a "boil water" order? *sigh* Glad someone where DaHubby's work trolls the local talk radio station website.

So, for the next 48 hours, I'll be boiling water...this stinks! LOL

No way - what happened? Water main break or something?

Loss of power which equaled a loss of pressure...backwash in the pipes I'm guessing.

Your city is on the order now, too? I thought they said no. Crazy! ~Melanie

This is so weird; we are just coming off an "advisory to boil" order. And our community did not inform the public very well either! But do not ignore it (now that you know), because my hubby has been very ill, we even thought he had a heart attack and went to the ER. He has had thousands of dollars worth of medical bills (EKG, stress test, ultrasound, heart catherization, scope into esphogaus, stomach, and upper colon) only to find nothing. When they did a blood test he tested positive for H. Pylori, which you get from eating contaminated food, or drinking contaminated water! Our borough denies that he got it from our water, but we drank it without even knowing about the possiblity of contamination. So...numerous calls to DEP, etc... and they are right, we may never be able prove it. Anyway... OBEY the order, and be stay healthy!
