Sunday Attack

I mentioned to someone in a post early last week about how it seems the devil attacks us even harder on Sundays - trying to steal our joy and desire to worship the Lord. Suffice it to say, that is the case here this morning. Just wanted to post this psalm to remind me (and anyone else having "one of those days") to rise up and praise Him despite whatever challenges stand in our way!

Psalm 20
1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion;

3 May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

4 May He grant you according to your heart's [desire,] And fulfill all your purpose.

5 We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.

6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

8 They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.

9 Save, LORD! May the King answer us when we call.

Yes, satan is alive and well in this house every Sunday morning as well. I get the "Are we staying for big church?" thing and then the moans and groans, "It's boooring." I was late for Sunday school this morning, and I'm the teacher!! It has been one of thoses days here too. Thanks for the Scripture.

Amen, satan will try to do everything to keep us away from church, or anything Godly. But, our God is bigger than any problem satan can throw our way.

You should have been at my house on some Sundays. Trying to get the kids ready, myself, and get bibles and any other material needed and loaded into the car was a major task for awhile. If this could happen without tempers flairing I was a happy woman. And of course, if you passed that *test* you were apt to encounter someone in the hallway or choir who didn't! One grouchy word or bad attitude from them would have you in the midst of a *test* #2.

I have been brought to my knees in a hurry in response to *traps* the enemy has set for me. And just like the scripture you have posted, this is where I help comes from.
