Random Thought As I Nearly Slid Down My Porch Steps Today
Has anyone else but me wondered why we add salt to crushed or cubed ice in ice cream machines to make it COLDER yet we also put "salt" on icy surfaces to make it MELT? LOL

i thought it was to keep it from refreezing-something about changing the freezing point or the melting point or some such sciency thing. Maybe we need Science Saturdays.

Oh yea, I'm fine. Da Hubby's outta town and it's usually his job to keep up on that stuff. I knew I had to do something since it was "mounded" up. The poor post office person was gonna kill himself! LOL So, I *very* carefully carried the kids out one by one, went to Lowes, and got some de-icer/salt. We all survived. Thanks for asking tho! :)
