Potty Training: Day One

After two weeks of saying with every diaper I changed "what happens on your birthday?" and Pojke responding "I stop whair-in die-purrs", we took the plunge (no pun intended) today.

We took a dry run (again no pun intended) on Friday when DaHubby changed Pojke's butt and put him in underwear for the afternoon. We've talked about it at every opportunity.

Then, he got up this morning. DaHubby got to him first. Pojke put on his "un-dee-whairs" and hasn't looked back today. Three accidents - two at home; one at Grandma's. He pooped in the naptime diaper. Other than that, a completely uneventful and stress-free day...NOTHING like potty training Flicka! LOL So, not only did we survive day one, I got a ton accomplished today. So, I feel like MegaMom...at least until the next household catastrophe! LOL

And, no good milestone is complete without some pictures! LOL

Practicing on New Years Day:

Friday's dry run - and yes, that's a training potty in the middle of my living room. Hey, I'm all about keepin' it real! LOL

Yay for you! Ds3 is completely ready to potty train, but has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he is not interested. He doesn't care to wear underwear. He can even remove his own wet diaper. He goes into another room to do his business and comes back and lets me know that I need to change him.

Oh well, maybe you'll be the inspiration I need to make it happen over here :)

Yay for some success! I'm sure there will be some ups and downs, but he WILL get potty trained eventually. (Speaking as one whose one and only was 4 before this was accomplished...and we're still not close overnight!)

Ah, potty training. I never really had to potty train - I was waiting for the right time but the kids just went ahead without me and did it themselves...lol.

Godt nytt år!
